As a former student, I was shocked by the lack of attention given to podiatry—a field that often remains overshadowed by other medical specialties. Recognizing the potential for improvement, I now, as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, firmly believe in the immense value of podiatry as one of the most promising medical professions.

Few other careers offer the breadth of opportunities that podiatry does. Whether specializing in foot care, athletic medicine, wound management, diabetic care, geriatrics, pediatrics, or beyond, the array of career paths is abundant.

Moreover, podiatrists typically enjoy a more balanced work-life schedule—a rarity in the demanding world of medicine. This balance contributes to overall satisfaction and well-being.

Furthermore, Podiatric Medicine has experienced remarkable growth and innovation over the past two decades, presenting abundant opportunities for those who choose to be part of its evolution.

Through the Podiatrist2Be Foundation, we are engaging with high schools, universities, the public, and the medical community to inspire, educate, and provide opportunities in podiatric medicine. Our mission is to illuminate the path to this esteemed career for past, present, and future generations. Many individuals are unaware of the vast possibilities within the profession, and we aim to catalyze change.

As an organization, we welcome all podiatric students, residents, and practicing doctors (DPMs). Together, we seek to educate, advocate for reform, and enlighten younger generations, offering them the prospect of a rewarding career in podiatry. Additionally, we plan to embark on medical missions to serve underserved populations, extending the reach of our valued services.
